Position: Electro-mechanical Specialist

Duties: Drill tap/modify enclosures and sub panels. Install components onto panels, wire panels, electrical schematic reading, work with the Engineering department to correct any mistakes found during process, drives, PLC’s, softstarts, testing and programming of completed units.

Position: Senior wiring technician

Duties: Same as above including: training of other associates, reviewed engineering documentation prior to being released to manufacturing (schematic, bill of materials, mechanical drawings, drill templates, customer specs, and manufacturability of products) Products worked on, but not limited to are: Fab (press controls), crane and hoist, waste water pumping stations, General Motors and Ford Motor Company. I became very familiar with internal and external quality specifications.

Duties: Develop electrical schematics in AutoCAD from engineering specifications for external customers, create bill of materials and load into Paradox system, update drawings in AutoCAD per customers, and ECN’s (Engineer Change Notice).

Duties: Develop electrical schematics and mechanical drawings in AutoCAD for internal and external Customers, created complete bill of materials for projects and load into SAP, worked with external vendors to insure quality and specifications of product were met, managed long lead time items, ordered specialty tools for jobs, (including crimp tools, torque tools) direct contact with Sales Engineers and Customers during design, manufacturing, and completion of product and end of life cycle for products.

Jan 2004-April 2011 Schneider Electric/Square D

Position: Sr. Electrical Designer (electrical and mechanical)

Duties: Develop detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings in AutoCAD and 3D modeling in Inventor for internal and external customers, created complete bill of materials based on the need of the projects and key into SAP, determine the components needed, including circuit breakers, wire ratings, voltage needs, contactors, relays, fuses, connectors, sockets, pins, etc. Worked with external Vendors on sheet metal, wire kits, labels, etc. to insure quality and specifications of product met the Customers high expectations. I managed long lead time purchased items to insure they would be available when the product was ready to be built. I ordered specialty tools for jobs, direct contact with Sales Engineers and Customers during design, manufacturing, and completion of product.

I worked with the Manufacturing Engineers to create detailed mechanical drawings, wire harness, and wire lists to aid in the assembly process. I am also a technical support to the manufacturing area to provide answers when issues come up during manufacturing of product. I work with the Testers during the test phase of a product. I created a library of components to be used as a reference when developing torque specifications for products. I developed new design standards. Created an AutoCAD library for standardization and ease of design. I trained fellow Associates how to use the library and design standards. I have a profound knowledge in enclosure Nema ratings, NEC, UL508A, and SEMI.
