OBTS is a project which is based on US BANK; Purpose of this project is to develop software which helps to the bank customer’s for the Processing of transaction system. This system is designed as Online and Batch sub systems .Online Transaction processing database applications are optimal for managing changing data, and usually have a large number of users who will be simultaneously performing transactions that change real-time data. The online system supports Inquiry about customer data like number of transactions are in a day, Customer’s information, availability of balance in your account etc. The Batch system supports the back end processing of the policy based on the user requirement.

Description

AAMI is an Australia based insurance company which was holding large number policies in the . the country. This system supports all types of policies covered by AAMI.

This system is designed as Online and Batch sub systems. The online system supports Inquiry about various Policies, Premium information, various guidelines which AAMI follows, necessary screens to follow/Process the whole cycles of the policy. The Batch system supports the back end processing of the policy based on the Period, duration, special requests and provides information to the online about the policies. Generates various reports for customer like Claim report, Renewal, Maturity, Premium due etc. Also generates reports like Total Policies, Policies per year, Premiums Pending, Total Premiums, Non-Renewed and Renewed Policies, Expired Policies details, Collection office and Area office details etc.

Involved in coding of programs using COBOL and CICS

Involved in unit testing of components.

Involved in Unit test cases and execution reports.

Used Db2 utilities like RUNSTAT, REORG and LOAD.
