Objective

I am in search of a full time job to start gaining experience. I attended the University of Texas at El Paso and graduated on December 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. During school time I worked at the Chemistry Department Stock Room, where we received and handled the department’s chemicals before going to the labs, kept inventories of chemistry equipment such as glassware as well as chemicals and reagents. I was also in charge of preparing the chemical waste that was going to be picked up by E&HS and assisted students and teachers with lab materials. I worked in the chemistry for 3 years while pursuing my degree. During the last year of college I did research with Dr. Mito, one of the many chemistry scholars, working on organic synthesis by reacting amides into amines. We would check the purity of our products with the help of NMR and known standards. Also during my last year of college, three other students and I made a project that involved finding out concentrations of amino acids in energy drinks with the help of HPLC.
