Welding Inspection:
• Patrol Check on the proper storage, backing, handling etc. of the welding electrodes and fluxes. Ensure that only acceptable materials are used. Record the details for the material traceability.
• Checking of the Fit-up, Pre-heat, Inter pass temperature etc as per applicable WPS. Final Visual Inspection of completed welds
JOB INVOLVED IN NDT:
• All Inspections activities as per procedure.
• Handled Different camera’s Gamma ray equipment.
• Performed Radio Graphic Testing, Liquid penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing & Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge Measurement.
• Interpretation of radio graphic films.
• Visual inspection of Raw materials, structural beams, Columns, Pipe and Tube and all fabrication works etc.,
• Good knowledge of radiation safety and radiography procedure.
• All Types of Inspections Carried out etc.,
LPG storage tank (sphere) and LPG gas line at local Enamkulathur, Trichy. (Indian Oil Corporation limited) Tamil Nadu.
• Header joints of boiler and pipe joints at NLC power station, Neyveli, (Neyveli Lignite Corporation) Tamil Nadu.
• Pipe lines of boiler erection at Karikal PPCL (Pondichery power corporation ltd.,) Tamil Nadu.

MY MAJORE ROLE:
• Conducting all Inspection as per approved ITP
• Inspection as per QC plan of piping, like Material identification, Fit-up Weld, NDT Clearance, Dimensions & level check, mechanical clearance & Painting.
• Project work includes Quality Control and testing of Welded beam, Duct, plus column, Bracing box, Box column, and welded box.
• Evaluating non- destructive testing (MPT, PT and UT) of weld joints as per ASME Section VIII.
• Implementation of approved procedures (WPS & PQR) and maintaining quality records as per quality management system requirements.
• Continuous monitoring of welding consumables and treatment of electrodes.
• Inspecting preheat, post heat and post weld treatment.
• Evaluation of post weld heat treatment (PWHT) charts.
• Inspecting lines in accordance with P& OD isometric drawing for mechanical clearance.
• Co ordinates for NDE activities.
• Compiling of test reports and reporting to QC or clients
