DBA/Developer 1996-2008

As a developer I had DBA privileges to create new databases for new projects. Developed all the SQL Server roles, permissions, tables, views and other required objects on new projects. Analyzed and organized database objects to target data mappings.

* Created over 100 SQL Server stored procedures in T-SQL.

* Created clustered, nonclustered, compound and primary key indexes.

Responsible for maintaining four PowerBuilder and five MS Access applications. Provided user support and enhancements. Responsible for helping users in all corporate departments with Microsoft Access, troubleshooting for hardware and software problems, and training.

* Developed a mileage calculation application resulting in a savings of over $400,000 a year on state taxes.

* Developed a Car Hire Accounting system to track railcar per diem amounts, allowing exponential growth without requiring additional staff. Created this application to also interface with Epicor accounting software.

* Designed centralized database for storing company contact information.

* Developed an application which tracks possible sale proposals for the marketing and sales department.

* Enhanced PowerBuilder application that tracks leasing information allowing for more detailed customer records.
