I oversaw the successful installation and process qualification of 10 new production groups (25% of the facility production capacity). These machines included never before used Safety and Quality modifications. I coordinated the demolition of preexisting machines and the recovery of essential tooling from these machines. In addition I oversaw both the Project Engineer and Contract Coordinator. I was instrumental in both the “debug” and ramp-up fazes which brought the machinery to standard for Safety, Production and Quality.

Managed the coordination of all activities within the department. These activities include safety, production, and supply procurement.
• Develop and implement plans to improve departmental safety (52% improvement from 2003), quality (63-67% sustainable reduction in process waste), productivity (29% gain from 2006) and cost (40% improvement from 2003)

During this period of time I was a member of the plant closure team. This saw the successful and expedient closure of the Opelika facility. This included the removal and shipment of all assets and prudent recycling of nonessential equipment and property.

Accelerated the implementation of the Michelin Manufacturing Way (Lean Manufacturing) and its two main components (Six Sigma tools and High Performance teams)
• Six Sigma tools was implemented as the Plant operational platform, across all managerial levels with 100% success
