The project title “Design of drill jig and milling fixture for Rear Center line Pylon component” was carried out in the tool design department, aircraft division, HAL, Bangalore. Jigs and fixtures are economical means to produce repetitive type of works by incorporating these special work holding devices. These devices are usually associated with large scale production, semiskilled operations to reduce production time and increase productivity.
