PROJECT: Nylon 6, 6 & Petrochemical Conversion Company Project, KSA.

Project Description: PCC Project is the detailed engineering, design, and construction of a 50 KTA Nylon 6,6 plant and associated offsite (aka industrial) and end-product manufacturing facilities ( aka conversion) in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Purpose of the Project: The general scope of facilities includes the nylon production plant itself, nylon plant OSBL, a nylon compounding plant as part of nylon OSBL, and manufacturing facilities to produce variety of end- user products including HDPE pipe, automotive parts, electrical fittings, drip irrigation products, pharmaceutical and medical products, and caps and closures.

Duties:

Responsible for providing supervision with direction and support for all Project Construction Personnel within an assigned area or specific location.

Develop and implement an annual HSSE Plan. Input to key procedures, such as emergency response, PTW, and procedures related to safety and security.

Identify required training for employees, update training material as necessary, and provide resources for the training courses. Develop / originate site procedures related to HSSE.

Duties:

Ensure subcontractors compile with the SGC HSE Standards as stipulated in the EGTL-SGC-HSE Plan and Procedure.

Coordinating issuance of SGC-EGTL permits to subcontractors executing the project and this onus encompasses performing initial testing of the atmosphere within the confined space and continuous monitoring of oxygen level, verification of emergency plan and control measures put in place, prior to approval of permit. Performed audit of subcontractor waste segregation plan and implementation practice to ascertain conformity with project waste management plan; availability of chemical stored on site by subcontractors and the emergency respond preparedness, covering employees working knowledge of site emergency/evacuation procedures, escape routes and project emergency notification process.

To administer and monitor the Permit to Work System in accordance with the SGC procedures.

Implemented ISO-14001 standard by conducting portable water quality test using Hach testing kit; and monitoring sewage effluent discharged into the environment using Hach testing kit; audit subcontractor waste management plan and implementation strategies employed, supervised subcontractors performing monitoring of sewage effluent(from houseboats) discharge into recipient environment; supervised subcontractor performing clean-up of environmental pollution; performed spot check and continuous (twenty-four hours) noise reading using Larson David LD820 and LD824 noise metering meters, downloaded reading, interpretation of the data, calibration of the meters and installation of the meters in field.
