BE Project
Security Model for Flooding Attacks
Synopsis: The project was about developing security model for flooding attacks in the active networks. We developed high quality of a network filter which will be able to avoid flooding attacks such as DoS attack and DDoS attack on the nodes which are in network. The code is developed in the JAVA ANTS tool kit. The filter was developed in the 3 steps:
1. Redundancy checker
2. Anomaly detector
3. Packet Examiner.
The filter was able to check the data of every packet coming into the network. According to the rules and prototypes packets get rejected if they contain traces of attacks.

Responsibility:
• To deploy nodes on the server, establish the communication between nodes and configure the nodes.
• To develop a code for filter mechanism in Java on the ANTS (Active Node Transfer) Tool kit.
