This Reconnaissance Squadron consisted of three RA-5C Vigilante Aircraft. This aircraft was primarily outfitted for reconnaissance utilizing infrared cameras and microwave electronics.

Performed flight line and lab troubleshooting directly on the F14 Tomcat, F4 Phantom and RA-5C aircraft avionics systems including, Power Distribution, ECM (Electronic Counter Measure), UHF radio, TACAN (Tactical Air Navigation), ADF (Automatic Direction Finder) and IFF (Identification friend or foe) systems.
I was the senior ECM leader in my squadron maintaining “Electronic Counter Measure” aircraft systems (Secret Clearance), ALR-45 and ALQ-126 ECM radar receiver; I received a special two-year training for this position.
Experienced in aviation maintenance: TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry), waveguide sweeping, field strength meters, oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. Excellent knowledge of microwave-waveguide theory and maintenance
