July 1997 – Present: Administrative Assistant to the Routt County Board of County Commissioners and Routt County Planning Department. Responsibilities include writing correspondence, including press releases, business letters, public notices, Resolutions, etc.; schedule meetings and make all arrangements for meetings, including transportation, lodging reservations, and meals as needed; supervise Receptionist, Minute Taker and front desk; in charge of payroll and accounts payable, assist with annual budget; Grant maintenance for County supported Grants; Notary Public.
Sept. 1995 – July 1997: Office Manager for NORTHWEST COLORADO VISITING NURSE. Registrar for Routt County births and deaths. Responsible for all aspects of running the front office in an effective and organized manner: Making appointments, supervising office assistants, filing state reports, epidemiology, banking, client billing, etc.; Notary Public.
Sept. 1994 - Aug. 1995: Office Manager for QUINTIN USA, INC. (Importers of clove cigarettes). Payroll, taxes, accounts payable, receivable, commissions, banking, filing monthly reports to all state revenue departments, and handling all ordering of cigarette stamps through governmental agencies.
Aug. 1989 - Sept. 1994: Office Manager for KKMX / KIDN RADIO. Basic bookkeeping: Accounts payable, receivable, sales journals, trade and cash agings, commission’s records, and monthly statements. Sales: Making business contacts, negotiating contracts, flight sheets, affidavits, writing commercials and public service announcements, taking agency orders. Additional radio experience: Broadcaster's license (still active), and studio work, including producing commercials and public service announcements.
Jan. 1987 - April 1989: Manager for INCH-BY-INCH ISOMETRIC AND TANNING STUDIO. Basic book-keeping, making appointments, weighing and measuring clients, operating exercise machines and tanning booths, counseling and motivating clients in areas of diet and exercise.
1982 - 1987: Owned a highly successful cake and candy business called SWEET TEMPTATIONS. Specialized in novelty cakes, wedding cakes and unique homemade candies. Also made holiday candies for SUGAR PLUMS, and decorated cakes for CITY MARKET.

May, 1989 - 1992: Taught a weekly course for COLORADO NORTHWESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE on writing and publishing. I received an outstanding evaluation on my teaching methods.
Oct. 1989: Wrote an article for AUTHORSHIP, the official publication of THE NATIONAL WRITER'S CLUB.
January 1988 - April 1989: Wrote a monthly newsletter for INCH BY INCH ISOMETRIC AND TANNING STUDIO.
I have given numerous speeches and lectures on motivation and writing at schools, various clubs and organizations. In Sept. 1989, I started a writer's networking group, which is still active and continues to grow in membership. Sept. 1992 was a featured speaker at the ROCKY MOUNTAIN FICTION WRITER'S COLORADO GOLD CONFERENCE. Contest judge for numerous clubs and organizations. Listed in WHO'S WHO IN U.S. WRITERS, EDITORS, AND POETS for six years.
PERSONAL: Lifetime resident of Steamboat Springs, CO. Non-smoker.
EDUCATION: Steamboat Springs Public Schools 1960 - 1972. COLORADO MOUNTAIN COLLEGE (Computer, English, and various self-improvement classes).
