Ibiza Spotlight: Freelance Journalist/Reporter (San Antonio, Ibiza)

I began working for Ibiza-spotlight in 2011 as part of a summer internship, as a result I was offered a full time position and I am now their only full time writer on the clubbing section with some involvement in other areas such as Hotels and Spas. My job mainly focuses on writing reviews of club nights, events and venues. We work within tight deadlines which means the job is fast paced and exciting. During my time at Spotlight I have managed their merchandise sales, performed administrative duties, represented the company at industry events and now have an intern of my own. Some of my work has included reviews of Pacha, Space, Amnesia and Privilege and I have interviewed many world class DJs such as Erick Morillo, Above and Beyond and Laidback Luke; I have also interviewed many underground DJs, promoters and bands. Overall this experience has helped me gain confidence and determination on top of priceless experience to help me further my career as a journalist.
