Work Experience

South Florida Water Management District 1993 - 2011

Art Department Supervisor: Supervised a fast-paced art department working in conjunction with the in-house public relations department to produce publications and video productions to educate the public on world-renowned restoration projects and environmental issues for the largest Water Management District in Florida. This team was responsible for creating a corporate branding strategy and guidelines that created a unique and highly recognizable identity for the agency.

Video Production Coordinator: Coordinated a diverse team that included project managers, writers, supervisors, graphic artists and on-camera talent to develop a script, create shot sheets, determine locations and create graphics. I was responsible for the progress and quality of the production and consulted with the client throughout the post-production process, experimented with styles and techniques, selected the most effective shot of a scene in terms of drama, story relevance or continuity. Subject matters included the ongoing restoration of the Kissimmee River as well as Lake Okeechobee and Everglades issues. Other video productions covered internal communications, training and TV Public Service Announcements on water restrictions and water conservation.

Owner/Operator: Royal Lab and Studio 1989 - 1993

Owned and operated a photo studio specializing in portraits, weddings and fashion photography. Managed a staff of seven.

Staff Photographer: Palm Beach Post 1984 - 1989

Responsibilities included photographing diverse subject material including sports, local news events and features.
