DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities as QA/QC ENGINEER in Projects and Vendor Inspector

• Review and approve contactor Quality plane and Inspection and Test plane(ITPs).

• Develop and coordinate subproject Audit Schedule, Conduct site audits within sub-projects and assist Quality Manager in conduct of project audits, as needed.

• Inspection of internal cement line coating and external P.E Coating.

• Inspection of field joint coating after weld joint both inside and outside of trench after / before pipe laying.

• Joint Fit-up & Welding Inspection of Pipelines..

• Welding equipment in suitable condition and calibration as appropriate.

• Weld preparations accordance with WPS and drawing.

• Welder qualification and identification of welders as per WPS.

• Welding consumable storage /control and backing requirement as specified in QC procedure.

• Joint fit¬-ups I accordance with WPS /drawing tack weld are to good workmanship stander and to code standard.

• Welding pre heat requirement as per WPS.

• Inspection for post weld heat treatment of joints to maintain correct heating rate, cooling rate, soaking period Temp. Ranges.

Dissimilar Metals

• Inspection of welding of different varieties of metals such as Carbon Steel, Low CR-MP Alloy Steel (P4,P11,P5,P22) & stainless steel, low Temp, Killed carbon steel, sour service carbon steel, and copper nickel.

• Inspection of dissimilar metal joining such as stainless steel to carbon steel, carbon steel to low alloy steel (P1 to P4, P1 to P5, P1 to P22), P11 to P5, C.S to Low Temp C.S.

• Interpreting the radiographic films according to ASME ANSI B 31.3 and ASME Section 5 for Process piping of refinery construction.

and draining test water.

After Tank Hydro Test; Check to monitor the Water draining rate. And internal surface drying after test water is drained.
