Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform aircraft repairs and modifications as it relates to the airframe, following SRM maintenance manual, AD (Airworthy directives), manufacturers upgrades, Engineering Orders following all shop procedures, operational policies, quality control and safety standards.

Inspection and repair on structural damage and various aircraft parts including frames, stringers, lon­grows, ribs, bulkheads, racells, firewalls, heatshields, hinges, access doors, door repair and modifi­cation, set tracks, flap tracks, flight control surfaces and fusage pressurization areas. Fabrication of parts and repairs from raw stock by cutting, bending, rolling, shrinking, stretching, cold working and forming for heat treatment, locating, fitting, drilling, surface preparation for corrossion control with chemicals handling by MSDS standards and application per SRM, maintenance manuals, or engineer­ing orders. Close tolerance drilling and reaming of holes, deburning and cleaning of materials before locating and installing of fasteners and rivets on bonded surfaces. Installation and removal of torque valued bolts and fasteners, working with all shop tools, jigs, fixtures, shop aids, patterns and special­ized tools for calibrated usages such as dial calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, ball gauges, go and no go gauges, grip gauges, hilox gauges, cherry max gauges, cable tentionometers, torque wrenches, trueloc gauges and feeler gauges.

Selecting proper application of sealants, fillers, composite materials, fiberglass, epoxies and paint. Us­ing toxic materials and chemicals in accordance with MSDS standards, OSHA standards and disposal.
