OBJECTIVE
To advance my career in electrical engineering by applying my 12 years of experience in production engineering, RF, analog, digital, test software, and automated test equipment design.
EDUCATION
Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS
• Degree: Bachelor of Science
Major: Electrical Engineering
Option: Communication Systems / RF
GPA: 3.65/4.0
Graduation Date: May 15, 1999
EMPLOYMENT
Senior RF Design/Test Engineer II (Six Sigma Specialist), Raytheon, Space and Airborne Systems (SAS), Special Programs, June 1999-Dec 2011 – ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE
• Project lead on constructing two new near field measurement test facilities.
• Converted a rectangular indoor antenna range to a dual indoor near field measurement test facility.
• Converted an old metal fabrication shop into triple indoor near field measurement test facility.
• Managed two capital work order packages, including facilities, contractors, range operations, and security.
• Designed and integrated five $1M test stations in the test facility including the near field probe/positioners, RF test equipment, RF switches and cable runs, digital communication and power to the UUT, test software, and measurement techniques.
• Resulted in two world-class test facilities that gave the program team approximately three times the testing throughput as compared to the previous test facility setup.
• AESA Antenna Digital / RF array controller concept, design, firmware, embedded software, and I&T
• Designed an AESA CCA controller from concept to final working hardware in 9 months.
• Generated 100 page digital schematic and teamed in the CCA board layout.
• Wrote VHDL firmware and embedded software for the Altera 1020 ball FPGA.
• Designed the entire test software package in LabVIEW and performed final testing of the AESA antenna.
• Received Raytheon’s highest technical honor, Excellence in Technology Award, in 2006 for design.
• Microwave stripline design lead and component integration on RF Feedboard Design Team.
• Designed the strip-line portion of two RF boards. Integrated the modeled parts into a final working design.
• Resulted in 1st pass test yields of > 95% as compared to the previous design’s 1st pass yields of approximately 50%.
• Resulted in a Six Sigma Project that totaled over $8M in cost savings. Received the 2002 Raytheon Quality SAS and Corporate Level Award.
• Lead production test engineer.
• Lead 3 shifts of 2 different production contracts of antennas to meet all program milestones and objectives.
• Responsible for testing and troubleshooting over $2.5M in product flow per day for two, three year periods.
• Completed 4 Six Sigma projects to get testing throughput at a level 4 times the test output as compared to 6 years prior. This included writing hundreds of LabVIEW VI’s and redesigning test equipment.
• Designed new software packages to troubleshoot returning production failures and its subassemblies.

• Received Senior Engineer I Technical Honors in 2006.
• Received 2002 Raytheon Quality Award, Meritorious (SAS Business) & Distinguished (Corporate) Level.
• Received 2006 SAS & Corporate Excellence in Technology Award.
• Completed a total of 10 Six Sigma Projects resulting in over $16M in cost savings from 2001 to 2006.
