Ø Identified and corrected numerous drawing errors that would have resulted in machine downtime and waste of thousands of dollars in supplies, in addition to scrapped defective product (at Remington Arms). Quality, Safety and overall savings were maintained thru the Supply Chain Management Program for all areas of the company.

Ø Implemented Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9000 principles at Remington Arms and CoorsTek resulting in cost savings in production and reducing scrap. Focusing upon customers, processes, system approach to management, and factual decision-making, minimal investments were necessary for the drafting designs and engineering for changing product lines.

Ø Involved in engineering R&D project for LM Glasfibers, wind power blade manufacturing plant in Little Rock, Arkansas, that involved an innovative method of vacuum forming and curing of structural resins.

Facilities Engineer

Hyd-Mech is a world class manufacturer in Metal Band Saw and Cold Saw Technology and Metal Sawing Solutions. Located in Conway, AR it is a 76,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility.

Responsible for the daily operation of the manufacturing facility and in-house machine shop (Consisting of vertical mills, lathes, and MIG welder) as well as, responsible for writing & documenting work instructions both for in-house and end user use

Remington Arms is a global leader in the manufacture of sporting arms and ammunition. Their ammunition manufacturing facility employs approximately 1,000 and is located in Lonoke, AR.

Maintenance and creation of drawings for new products as well as production machinery repair and modification parts. Also responsible for minor design changes to same.

Draftsman

Hall Manufacturing is a producer of both in-ground and aboveground petroleum storage tanks. They also manufacture a line of tow-behind grass and weed mowers. They are located in North Little Rock, AR.

Responsibilities included the design and layout of new petroleum storage tanks on a make-to-order basis as well as engineering duties for the mower line and an all-terrain vehicle in development.

Wheatland Tube is a leading manufacturer of induction welded steel pipe products. Their Little Rock, AR facility has been closed but they are still in business with headquarters in Wheatland, PA.

Responsibilities included design and implementation of plant floor solutions for steel pipe production machinery and various project related tasks such as building and machinery modifications.

CUSTOM DIRECT, LLC Aug. 2004 – Aug. 2006

Maintenance Technician

Custom Direct, LLC is a manufacturer of custom printed checks, banking and other financial documents. They are located in Mabelvale, AR.

Responsible for the daily maintenance (including preventative maintenance) and repair of all production machinery as well as facility related concerns. Responsibilities also included refinement and continuous improvement of all processes & methods.
