As an 09Lima Interpreter, I was Assigned to the Multi National Forces 1-63 CAB THT (Tactical Humint Team). While I was assigned there, I was responsible for interpreting/translating what was said between the officer's and the insurgent's. I was also part of the interrogation team and was responsible for reading/translating secret maps, classified documents, and valuable information . I helped with interrogations by translating Arabic to English and visa versa. I Achieved the Dragon Certificate of Achievement, for outstanding support and performance during the Operations Iraqi Freedom. While serving the United States, I was in command of the supervision of other fellow soldiers. While preparing to mobilize in Fort Benning, GA I was chosen to be a Team Leader for 3 months. I had to supervise 6 soldiers. My duties were to ensure all the soldiers I was supervising were in the correct uniform. Each soldier was required to carry a pen and paper at all times, and to have a clean, ironed uniform on. I also had the responsibility to go through physical training with my fellow soldiers and make sure they finished correctly and efficiently. My duty was also to answer any question my soldiers had. I was there 1st in chain of command. If I was not able to answer any of there questions or issues i would go to 2nd in command to solve the issue or question. While deployed in Iraq, I was also chosen to be First Line Supervisor for 1 year in Iraq. I was responsible for 2 soldiers. My duties were to ensure the 2 soldiers were on time to any briefing/ meeting, wore the correct uniform and carried all the required equipment, such as night visions, fully loaded magazines, and clean weapons. Also, I had to ensure all the weapons were accounted for.
