design consisted of documenting a manual system and developing a new Motor Fuel

Tax System. The Application used was Visual Basic, and Oracle on a Novell Server with

Crystal Reports. Grids were used with Visual Basic for data entry to utilize Excel’s

functions and capabilities. Developed the requirements and design document for the EDI

application. EDI standards were used to transmit the tax data from the Oil Companies to

the State Government. Developed the consumer credits processing and the screens that

allowed editing of the EDI data.

Description: Work with the following software Cobol II, Cobol 370, EDI, DB2, 4GL, ISPF panels, DXT’s, QMF, ORACLE, IMS, Access, Excel, Word, and FTP. Designed and developed QMF query’s to pull data off the Mainframe and load data into access database file. Developed sub systems for the Scheduling system, Tooling system, Costing system, Shop floor system, and developed interfaces for a client/server MRP system. Converted two of their systems from Cobol II to Cobol 370. Developed the interfaces and edits for scheduling system that enabled communicate using EDI standards and Gentran Translator. Responsible for the requirements, specifications and implementation of EDI.

Description: Coded, and tested several modules for an on-line branch commissions system using CICS/IDMS.

Coded, and tested several modules for an on-line investments system using CICS/IDMS. This project team contained 15 people that designed this online system. This system tracks Client’s Securities from over 1500 brokerage offices.

Description: Served as project manager for the development of an automated money order system. Designed, and implemented this system, with 60+ programs and CICS for the online portion. Also wrote the documentation manual and user’s guide.

Description: Developed, and implemented a message switching applications, using a x.25 packet switching network. This effort included modifying an SNA, X.25, BTAM, ICSS and Series 1 operating system. Also rewrote a bulk tape processing system to feed the network and data from large banks. The mainframe modules were written in COBOL/CICS.
