OBJECTIVE : Seek employment as a production supervisor
Summary : I have fifteen years of managerial experience in both union and non-union shops. I am efficient, energetic, organized, self motivated, and have the ability to motivate those around me. I have led teams in lean management and written ISO documents. I have started or served on both safety and quality teams. I am not satisfied with status quo and I am always looking for ways to improve quality, safety, and production.
EMPLOYMENT :
Whiting Door : Akron, N.Y. (2004-2010) - Established quality lab, operated laminating press, soldered stainless steel, wrote ISO documents, fabricated products from blueprints, and was instrumental in introducing Lean Management.
Delphi : Lockport, N.Y. - Contract Supervisor responsible assembling , brazing, painting, quality, and packaging of condenser cores. Working as a team we raised quality from mid 80% to a consistent 94%. We also increased production from 5000 cores a day to 6500, twice exceeding 7000. This moved us from a seven day a week to a five day a week operation.
American Rubber Products : N. Tonawanda, N.Y. - Supervised 20-25 hourly employees in a non-union shop. Responsible for inventory, die cutting, fabricating, quality, shipping and receiving. Personally organized raw goods and finished goods inventory to ensure a smoother more efficient flow of product.
Jensen Fittings : N. Tonawanda N.Y. - Supervisor responsible for overseeing two plant operation. Including grinding, welding, inspection, shipping, machining (manual and CNC lathes). Started a program to increase production making it possible to meet shipping schedules while improving quality. Spearheaded start up of second shift safety program.
Val-Kro : N. Tonawanda - Supervised up to twenty employees in a union shop. Oversaw Chrome plating line, grinders, quality, shipping and receiving. Production increased 36% during my tenure.
Spaulding Fibre : Tonawanda N.Y. Started at an entry level position as a laborer performing inspection, saw operator, treater operator, resin cooker, and fork lift operator. Was promoted to front line supervisor in charge of resin manufacturing and treating operation. Within two years of supervising was promoted to lead supervisor of three shift operation including two off shift supervisors, 30 union employees, scheduling and quality. Production increased by as much as 50% on some products. Served on quality improvement team and plant wide safety team.
