WORK HISTORY
2011- present Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, Medical Evaluation Board – Staff MEB Physician- responsible for review of medical records and patient exams to determine accordance with medical fitness standards per Army regulations. Write reports accurately summarizing findings, assessing treatment plans to ensure maximal medical benefit is attained, and/or addressing questions posed by stakeholders. This often involves researching infrequently seen medical diagnoses in order to accurately provide a prognosis prior to disability determination. Regularly communicate with higher authorities regarding policy and regulation interpretations. Additionally serves as subject matter expert on the Army Disability Evaluation System, tasked to give presentations on and off post to command staff as well as civilian and military medical personnel. This involves development of PowerPoint presentations and articulate oral communication.
Occupational Health Service- Clinician- perform occupational evaluations to include pre-employment physicals, annual surveillance physicals, and post-deployment physicals.
2008- 2011 Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Medical Evaluation Board – Staff MEB Physician - responsible for review of medical records and patient exams to determine accordance with medical fitness standards per Army regulations.
Nov 2009-Feb2010 Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Occupational Health Service- Interim Chief- responsible for supervision and development of medical staff , maintaining quality of care provided in the clinic, and serving as a subject matter expert in Occupational Health for the National Regional Medical Command.
2005- 2008 Concentra Medical Centers, Dundalk/Arbutus Clinics - Center Medical Director -responsible for supervision and development of medical staff, maintaining quality of care provided in the center, providing medical care for workers comp injuries, and performing physicals. Patient load consisted of approximately 20-30 patients per day.
2004 Concentra Medical Center, Rosedale/Arbutus Clinics - Staff Occupational Medicine Physician - responsible for workers comp injury care and administrative details. Performed pre-placement and other specialized physicals. Patient load consisted of approximately 20-30 patients/day.
2000-2002 Active Duty, CPT/O3, US Army – stationed at Lyster Army Hospital, Aviation Medicine Clinic, Officer-in-Charge of Physical Exams -- Responsible for acute medical care, performing flight and other specialized (occupational) physicals, and maintaining the health of all active duty soldiers on post. Patient load consisted of approximately 40-80 patients/day.
