As a Desktop Support Technician I performed a pilot test to allow TOEFL test takers at the Education Testing Service to use their personal laptops to take the test. Assisted test takers with any technical issues they had and used loaner laptops if their personal laptops did not work with the wireless connection to a bootable flash drive.

Responsible for modifying COBOL programs to convert posting account numbers from seven digits to eight digits. Creation of an accounting extract file to feed into a client server database. Tools utilized were IDMS and ADSO.

Worked on Closeout Tracking System and was responsible for creating COBOL and CULPRIT programs to correct erroneous data loaded to their applications. Tools utilized were IDMS/ADSO, COBOL, FILEAID and CULPRIT.

Responsible for analysis and modification of IDMS and COBOL programs to increase their efficiency and decrease their run times. I updated programs to record previous charges and updated current charges for historical purposes. Tools utilized were IDMS/ADSO, COBOL and EASYTRIEVE PLUS.

Responsible for writing batch and online programs to convert flat file processing to database processing to facilitate payment of agency/agent commissions. I was responsible for engineering an MIS system to allow agencies immediate access to the corporate database. Also, enhanced and maintained four compensation systems. Tools utilized were IDMS/ADSO, CULPRIT, COBOL and PL/1.
