EXPERIENCE
2010 – present – Sales Consultant – Marinemax – Atlanta, Georgia
Marinemax is the world’s largest boat retailer. In this position, I sold premium brands, including Sea Ray, Meridian, Nautique and Boston Whaler. I have an understanding of all technical aspects of marine lines. I was also involved in coordinating and managing events like Aquapalooza and Ski/Wake tournaments in the interest of promoting and selling the boating lifestyle.
2009 – 2010 – Senior Account Executive – Caputo Public Relations, Inc. – Miami, Florida
I created and managed business and community coalitions for mayor candidate’s reelection. I led opposition research for industry coalition in Ohio statewide ballot initiative. I also developed farmers’ coalition and drove special events for agriculture-related state referendum in Florida.
2007 – 2009 – District Manager – Furniture Consultants, Inc. – Miami, Florida
Furniture Consultants, Inc. is an office furniture dealer and office design firm. My responsibility was to oversee all aspects of sales and design. In addition, I established and cultivated working relationships within commercial real estate, architect and design and the local business community. I reported to the president of Furniture Consultants, Inc.
2003 – 2009 – Audio Brand Consultant – Muzak – Atlanta, Georgia – Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia
I was responsible for direction of a 30-county region including sales, service and client expansion. I sold a full line of audio products including commercial audio architecture, 0n-hold marketing, in-store security systems and drive thru systems. I stayed current on operating procedures for all products.
2001 – 2003 – Senior Account Executive – NTT/Verio – Atlanta, Georgia
I was responsible for sales and marketing for this network security and applications hosting firm. This position required that I be competent in software solutions, including Oracle, Citrix and SQL. I also have expertise in security solutions including Enterasys, Check Point and NetScreen.
1999 – 2001 – Advertising Account Executive – National Cable Communications – Atlanta, Georgia
I was responsible for coordinating spot cable advertising placement and schedules for the Alabama market. I interfaced with multiple advertising agencies to place ads in appropriate geographic areas and time slots. During this time, I managed and directed the allocation of advertising budgets for Gubernatorial campaigns as they pertained to population and demographics.
1996 – 1999 – Channel Sales Director – Netrail – Atlanta, Georgia
Netrail was a provider of wholesale network services, including DSL, Frame Relay, VPN, Private Line, IP and WAN/LAN products. I recruited and negotiated terms for value added reseller partners, thus introducing DSL to the Southeast. I was instrumental in creating and relating pricing structures, marketing strategies and sales guidelines.
1993 – 1996 – Account Executive – Roane Barker – Atlanta, Georgia
I was responsible for territory sales in Atlanta and North Georgia building relationships with medical providers. I sold a full line of supplies and equipment, including Terumo, Becton Dickenson, Welch Allen, Ritter and Johnson & Johnson. I called on hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, public health facilities, long term care, hospice and individual and group practices.
1987 – 1993 – Major Account Executive – Lanier Worldwide – New York, New York
I sold new and used copiers and negotiated leases and service contracts in a Midtown Manhattan territory. I set new records for monthly and quarterly dollar volume and was promoted to major accounts. I received Best Presentation and Top Negotiator Awards from the Lanier Senior Sales School in 1991.
