Objective:
My goal is to find an entry level position or higher in the field of 3D modeling/design. I hope to use my skill set to create low and high polygon models for any and all markets including and especially video games, movies, or advertisements. I aim to create a wide range of characters, environments, or assets as needed to help in the creation of any or all entertainment media.
Background:
All my experience in 3D modeling stems from college projects rather than in a true work environment. However, the diversity of projects provided me with the skills to be able to succeed as a 3D modeler in the work force. I’ve created a multitude of simple assets, characters, and vehicles, as well as full scale levels and environments. These projects also involved the animating and importing of the models into game engines, such as Unity. All in all, the skills I’ve acquired would be a stepping stone but I know that a 3D modeling career would also allow me to enhance those skills in order to be an outstanding 3D modeler.
Summary of Skills:
• Able to create a wide array of low and high polygon models.
• Can use multiple texturing procedures including UV mapping, bump mapping, and
UVW unwrapping.
• Able to set up bipeds for character rigging and animating.
• Able to create basic animations using key frame functions and motion capture
software.
• Understand how to export and merge models to other software or game engines.
