Personal Profile
I am an experienced, enthusiastic and focused teacher who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the education and well being of children and young people at all times. Passionate about giving young children the best possible education in life, I enjoy working in a busy environment and relishe the challenge of managing a diverse workload. I am most rewarded when working with those students who have special educational needs and am committed to a total communication teaching approach utilizing methods such as TEACCH, sign language and work systems. I am able to establish a supportive relationship with not only students but also their parents and fellow teachers all with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student’s independence and self-esteem.
I am someone who is fundamentally committed to good practice and innovation and who is very much a team player. Always engaged in continuous learning in order to broaden my knowledge and experience, I am confident, passionate and enthusiastic about working with children ad young people. My dedication to my role, students and professional development can be evidenced in the rapid climb into senior management since graduating. I am currently looking for a new, challenging teaching role that that will provide me with opportunities to develop and grow within my career as well as enabling me to transfer my own skills in a new role.

An active member of the senior management team, responsible for a large staff load providing education to students with autism under the direction of the head of education. In charge of organising timetables, offsite activities, external accreditations, chairing annual reviews, development, implementation and review of IEPS, behaviour management plans and baseline assessments.
Duties
• Working directly with pupils with Autism, EBD and challenging behaviour
• Development and implementation of schemes of work, materials and resources
• Introduction and management of formal accreditations provided at appropriate levels individualised to the learner
• Shared responsibility for line management and performance management of all teachers and learning support staff assistants

Leading the school through a difficult transitional period whilst being taken over by a larger company. Responsible for introducing new systems and processes that hadn’t previously existed in the school. Tasked with writing and introducing schemes of work, as none were in use as well as leading the school through a full inspection.
Duties

• Introduction of systems and processes to aid with planning such as weekly plans, termly plans and schemes of work
• Re assessing all students baselines levels with new, more effective assessment tools
