MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

While at Jenmar International, created the plan for replacing the Delphi 5 product with the modern C# application, a module at a time. This design required the design, implementation and documentation of applications that created support files which contained scripts, making use of the Microsoft scripting process, to manage the database schema; maintenance of procedures supporting Crystal Reports; distributing modified Crystal Reports; distributing Delphi 5 modules, C# modules and any support files used by either of these applications (i.e. complied help pages for context sensitive help; dll's in support of server connections to shipment companies). Also required was the creation of Help pages in support of each utility to aid new users in the use of the application and its controls, via the normal help pages and context sensitive help pages.

While at Raydon, Corporation, solely designed and implemented a complete relational database using MS Enterprise Manager and Microsoft C#, which tracked the participant's data, status, activities and drive results obtained while they performed drives on the company developed simulator.

EXPERIENCE:

2008 - 2009 Jenmar International Incorporated, Gainesville FL

My main assignment was the maintenance of the already distributed Jenmar International product developed in Borland Delphi 5 distributed to over 130 customers. This application tracks the process of creating dentures from the creation of a case to the billing of and received payments from the requesting dentist office. The application consisted of the Delphi 5 application; support modules that allowed for automated scheduling of shipments to companies, such as Fed Ex and UPS that connected to the company servers via connections created using C#; a database consisting of over 50 tables, over 75 procedures and a multitude of views and functions. Additionally, was tasked with developing a documentation process for describing enhancements and major bug fixes. Another major assignment was the design of the process to replace the Delphi 5 developed application with a .Net C# application developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 a module at a time. The modules were to include COM wrappers implemented via Interfaces that allowed Delphi 5 to connect with the C# modules, making it possible to replace each module individually.

2006 - 2007 Raydon Corporation, Daytona Beach, FL

While working in the Health Services Division, was responsible for the design and implementation of a stand alone application that tracks the activity of participants in studies, which included the recording of their responses to mandated survey questions, scoring of these surveys and providing statistical analysis for these surveys. Also included in the database system is the importing of data, which was recorded while participants drove the simulator, into the database and providing tools that allowed the user to view both graphical and textual style reports of various tracked driver activities, such as the position of the steering wheel, the brake and accelerator positions, speed and other such components as desired. All of these items were displayed in tables, charts and reports that were also available for print preview and printing. In addition to the above listed items, the application was responsible for the monitoring of the participants data, the configuration of the system, the backing up of data, the exporting of data to archive databases and the scheduling of future driving sessions. This application was written in Microsoft C# 2005 and the current version of Enterprise Manager using standard SQL language statements, and occasionally using T-SQL in Stored Procedures.

2004 - 2005 ForHealth Technologies, Daytona Beach, FL

Provided software development for an automated syringe filling process for use in hospital pharmacies in MS Visual Basic. Was tasked with developing parallel processing without using multithreading which allowed for optimal use of all components on the automation platform. Successfully proved that in-line code can be written to produce psuedo multithreading.

2001 - 2002 Zeevo, Inc, Santa Clara, CA

While working to solve customer problems was the main duty, I was also responsible for developing a COM object that would allow communication with our Bluetooth product via USB & UART using all the Windows platforms (except USB not supported on NT). Was additionally directed to write a Windows compatible program, using the COM object as the communications tool that was used as a basic go/no go tester. This tested the basic Bluetooth functionality of a finished module to detect its operational status. It also was used as a module-troubleshooting tool as it allowed additional commands to be passed to the device via a console command page. All of these programs/tools where developed using MS and Borland Visual C++ while using OOD techniques. The code was protected via the StarTeam Version control software and was installed by my designs in DemoShield and InstallShield.

1999 - 2001 Innovative Technologies, Inc, Dublin, CA

Project lead for the development of silicon wafer movement/measurement software for a new 300mm wafer measuring technology for a customer. This was developed in Microsoft C++ 6.0 using COM/DCOM technologies. Developed hardware control and monitoring software that included the control of a Robot, a Light Tower signal device, a 48-channel ADC and various other components as needed. Worked closely with marketing team to develop specifications from a proposal and developed test plans to aide SQA in the evaluation of the software.

1995 - 1999 Hamilton Software, Inc. Santa Rosa, CA

Originally tasked with the duty of developing a stand-alone test station that would provide production-like quality measurements for Power Level Accuracy for specified RF Signal Generators. This test station provided repair capabilities in the field to Calibration Lab's, removing it from the return-to-factory model that HP had been operating under for years. Also instrumental in the development of a Test Executive that was used to export to paying customers the ability to perform at least receiving inspections of their new RF signal generators, in a Windows based system. These tests were translated from the RMB into C++ using Object Oriented Principles and design practices. This entailed the design, development and enhancement of the Test Executive, the instrument Drivers and Tests (adjustments/verifications) DLL's, and the supporting datapacks to provide parameters for the various tests in both 16-bit and 32-bit hardware using the GPIB (IEEE488) communication. This product was released in Borland 5.0 using OWL/MFC Also created was an installation process using InstallShield 5.0 which allows for the deployment of the various tests and instruments from a single installation CD.
