MRO Inventory Manager/Buyer: Position develops sources of materials and purchases in support of maintenance functions. This position maintains inventory, creates new parts, issues purchase orders and runs a variety of demand planning reports within SAP and MS Excel. Position reports to the Maintenance Manager
Accomplishments to date: Set a pattern for all other Michael Foods plants to follow in bring MRO management from an independent inventory company to in house management. Through creative sourcing and inventory controls I was able to save $110,000 in the past 12 month period.

Production Scheduler/Materials Planner: Position is responsible for the analysis of sales demand, inventories and available plant production time and crafts daily and weekly production schedules used to communicate production demand to plant operations personnel. The position also is responsible for the gathering of data to create and maintain a continuous 12 month demand plan for inventory and staffing analysis requirements. Finally, the position analyzed raw material needs and shelf life requirements in order to place timely re-orders.
Accomplishments: Successfully changed finished goods management from a push to a pull system using Lean management Kanban techniques. Developed a method for the streamlined extraction of data from accounting software (Infor/Adage) leading to highly accurate and timely finished goods management. Served as plant Kaizen event coordinator that lead to several improvements in time savings and waste reduction. Served as team leader of a major food safety initiative that instituted many changes to plant HAACP procedures and overall elimination of contamination threats to food quality.

Production Scheduler/Materials Planner: Position reviewed sales orders to create a production schedule that served primarily as a make to order schedule with some make to stock planning for high demand inventory. This position also assisted in planning and ordering raw materials and parts to accomplish production schedules and meet ship and installation dates.
Accomplishments: Created the scheduling method used to extract data from accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics) allowing for company operations, sales and marketing and logistics departments to have good real time visibility of which phase of production each order was in and if it was on time. This allowed for better management of bottle necks and other constraints.
