Objective To transition my sales management and contract negotiating experience.
Including sixteen years as a business owner and independent sales
representative in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. To a position with a company
that provides a challenging environment and opportunities for a motivated
individual. While my experience has been in medical equipment and components,
I would be very interested in exploring opportunities in other industries.
Experience Sales Management – I have successfully managed multiple product lines within a
large territory that covers Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. Selling directly to the
orthotic and prosthetic facilities.
Mica Corp has a line of prosthetic feet that I represent to the prosthetic facilities in
my territory. This is a new product line and has been a very successful.
Maximum Mobility carries a line of prosthetic knees and components that are
used for fabricating prosthetic legs. Sales for this line have been slow due to lack
of ISO certification of their products.
Ossur Orthopedic is a line of knee orthotics and orthopedic soft-goods that Prism
has been representing for the past 12 years. Last year Prism generated 350,000
dollars in annual sales with the last quarter showing a one hundred percent
increase in sales over the same period the previous year.
Administration – As the owner of my own company, I am experienced in all
aspects of running a small business. This includes managing accounts receivable
and accounts payable, commission payments and office administration. My
experience in insurance billing has given me a tremendous insight into the
problems providers have in this area. Negotiating Contracts with the VA and large
O&P shops. Increased communication, both written and verbal, with the
companies that I represent have been important factors in our sales growth. Their
interactive web sites have given us an opportunity to see sales real-time and
provide a method to communicate product innovations in a timely manner. This
has also allowed us to communicate directly with various internal departments to
better serve our customers. In the past I utilized Google at Prism Medical systems
to share appointments, contact and leads with my representatives to increase
productivity.
Patient Management / Customer Service - Being the go between for the patient,
physician’s office and the product distributor has always been a challenging
endeavor. This requires managing patient files and complaints according to HIPPA
regulations, coordinating the paperwork needed for each insurance company,
along with keeping the physician’s office informed of the patient’s progress.
