Direct supervision of six plant safety personnel and one secretary. Over the course of being with Continental Carbonic my role has changed several times to that of a change agent for the corporation in Human Resources, Safety, Loss Control, Regulatory Compliance, Quality Control, and building a better work force. As a corporate director, I am charged with building a professional workforce by improving educational opportunities, training supervisors and managers, and motivating the organization to be world class dry ice supplier. While my main duties have been in the Human Resource and Safety Departments, I have worked hard to develop training programs to enhance employees’ present skills and on building a more professional workforce. I have worked with two Community Colleges to offer supervisors, managers, administrative assistants, and general workers online courses. Over the course of two years, I have enrolled over 150 employees. One of my most enjoyable tasks is to write, develop, and implement the necessary training programs for 30 facilities. I continue to use my educational and professional skills to develop, write and administer regulatory classes throughout the corporation. I continually use my technical educational experience to motivate and facilitate employee performance.

Also, I had responsibilities for three union (UAW) assembly plants with a total of over 3,000 employees. After arriving at Maytag, I was assigned the task of reducing lost time, recordable injuries, and workers’ compensation costs. Further, I was responsible for development and training of policies, procedures, safety committees, ergonomic steering teams, and writing and revising training and audit programs. I was the chief negotiator during contract negotiations for the security guards union in July 2001. While being a member of the corporate audit team, I conducted numerous safety audits at Hoover, Magic Chef, and Cooking Appliance Plants.
