International importer, processor and distributor of over 100 varieties of gourmet cheeses.

Manager of Warehouse Operations and Logistics

Responsible for two distribution centers of 80,000 square feet total and a staff of 3 salaried managers, 3 hourly lead employees and 24 warehouse associates.

Reinstated the use of R/F scanners for the movement of warehouse inventory insuring the proper billing for goods shipped, improved inventory control and the implementation of a lot control system.

Reset both distribution centers to maximize storage capacity and eliminate outside storage, allowing the company to see a savings of $36,000 annually.

Increased overall warehouse productivity by 63% in less then 12 months by instituting a new cross-dock order fulfillment process that reduced the total number of “touches” per case by 60%.

Managed the largest single order in the company’s history; 100,000 cases of foreign and domestic cheddar, all product received and processed without the use of outside storage. The order was completed 2 weeks ahead of schedule and 30% below budget cost.

Warehouse Supervisor
