Interview, hire, train and produce instruction manuals for teachers in the Kaplan method of instruction.
Primary courses were exam preparation for GMAT (entrance exam for the MBA program), LSAT
(entrance exam for the Law program) and MCAT (entrance exam for the Medical program).

Assisted in all aspects of marketing projects. Duties included setting-up and running information
booths, mailings, live speaking, seminar planning and promotion of Kaplan products.

•
Due to an environment that includes many departments, seasonal highs and lows and employees
with varying responsibilities, it was necessary to shift individual and departmental duties in order to
maintain operations running smoothly. This primarily involves keeping track of all duties performed in
the office, vacations, scheduled events and delegating tasks so as no one department or individual is
handling a disproportionate amount of work.

Working directly with the Vice President of the company, planned and coordinated employee
initiative programs. This included planning in house themed “drink nights‘, out of office drink nights,
barbeques and month end incentive programs.
•
In association with management and other associates, aided in organizing company seminars. I
participated in all aspects, from marketing and advertising in the planning stages to greeting and
hosting on the operating stage.
•
Settle accounts for deceased clients. This involved working in tandem with a beneficiary directly,
or an executor such as a lawyer or notary. Several documents are completed, reviewed and
authenticated (wills, declarations of transmission, estate accounts) followed by the transferring of
investment holdings to beneficiary.
•
Review maturing term deposits with clients and recommend investment products. These primarily
include, other term deposits and government and corporate bonds but may also include shares
or mutual funds. The latter were always transacted under the supervision of a qualified financial
planner. Tasks also included verifying RRSP and term deposit confirmations.

Research all account receivables, input in Accpac (accounting program) and produce a trial balance
for month end.
