EMPLOYMENT
June 9, 2008 – Current
NOC Technician
Responsible for projects of migration of the entire corporate email account to Gmail, recommending and implementing new Linux based file servers.
Primary responsibilities are to assist our customers, mainly from West Africa with initial deployment and support of satellite communication services.
Secondary role of Linux Administrator. Responsible for writing small shell scripts, trouble shooting and maintenance of Linux and UNIX systems. Assistant to Senior Network Administrator, assist in maintenance of switches and core routers, managing day-to-day network activities for VoIP technology.

Applying my skills as a Linux Technician. Responsible for building server systems, upgrading Linux servers to latest kernels, installing Postgresql, creating Logical Volume partitions, enabling VNC for servers, writing small Linux scripts and Linux management for large data vaults. Help desk responsibilities include assisting clients with backup and recovery of data, troubleshooting minor errors on SQL and Exchange servers.
