Plan, coordinate and direct all activities relating to property issues at PG&E’s Diablo Canyon Power Plant. Act as advisor and provide staff support to management and department supervisors for property and building issues pertaining to facilities and equipment owned and operated by PG&E. Responsible for acquiring land use, grading and construction permits.
• 2000/2006 Responsible for Coastal Development Permit process for Diablo Canyon’s Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) and Steam Generator Replacement Project. Assemble expert team consisting of biologists, archaeologists, botanist, and CEQA and Coastal Act consultant experts to work as members of the ISFSI team. Participate as text writer and advisor for developing ISFSI Environmental Report (NEPA) for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission License application.
• 2000/2003 Participate in developing conservation easement for over 3500 acres of PG&E coastal property located adjacent to DCPP. Work with Law Dept., DCPP management, Environmental Operations, Regional Water Quality Control Board, Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo, grazing lessee, biologists, botanists, archaeologists, geologists, seismologists, and PG&E’s Public Affairs Department.
• Coordinated legal property entitlement process with six real estate attorneys for PG&E to purchase at public auction for $3.6 million 4500 acres of coastal property located adjacent to the Diablo Canyon Power Plant.
• Managed Pecho Coast Trail Program located on PG&E property in Avila
Beach. The Trail Program offers docent lead hikes along the coastal terrace. Management includes oversight of operational and maintenance needs including sensitive environmental concerns as well as coordination of training and scheduling docents for public hikes.
• Managed approximately 13,000 acres of land owned by PG&E. Land activities include, agricultural/grazing leases, technical coordinator for contracts, manage public trail activities and a land stewardship program.
• Supervise building and facility maintenance and janitorial staff, determine priority of work; assign tasks; and respond to and resolve issues.
LAND PROJECT ANALYST, Corporate Real Estate, Sacramento, 6 month rotation 2005
Review and evaluate all transmission gas and electric new and replacement projects pertaining to environmental impacts and regulatory compliance issues. Coordinate and be responsible for acquiring any and all necessary federal, state and local environmental permits for such projects.
