Founded the company and managed all sales & marketing functions of One Billiards – Gameroom Design, Oklahoma’s 3rd largest gameroom furniture retail company.

• Started company from the ground up, planned and managed 2 new store openings within 4 years

Senior Consultant: 2004-2005

Managed Six-Sigma sales force effectiveness project for Pioneer Chemicals in Houston, Texas. Project focused on revenue enhancement opportunities throughout the sales organization’s 3 regions, 14 sales territories, and corporate office. Areas of emphasis included pricing strategy development, customer segmentation analysis, forecasting process design, sales force management system development, selection and implementation of Sales Force Automation (SFA) software, and marketing promotion effectiveness.

• Project facilitated pricing strategy-related revenue enhancement increases of over $36 million USD (12% revenue increase) over a 14 month timeframe

Managed Six-Sigma retail operations Cost of Poor Quality analysis for Alltel Communications in Little Rock, Arkansas. Analysis focused on improving retail store operations processes and management through identification of enhanced key performance indicators (KPIs), enhanced retail store management system design, and improved integration of store operations and customer service.

• Analysis resulted in identification of process improvements to reduce costs associated with store operations’ quality control processing time of over $2.1 million USD

Consultant: 2003-2004

Team member on a Six-Sigma project at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Berkeley, California. Project focused on cost reduction and production improvement opportunities. Areas of emphasis included supply chain management, production optimization, management system design, and quality lab effectiveness. I contributed through development of the campus’ Management Control and Reporting System.

• Project delivered $40 million USD in direct cost reduction and $70 in additional revenues over a 16 month timeframe

Airborne Express – Chicago, IL/Seattle, WA

Engineering Analyst: 2000-2003

Coordinated the nationwide rollout of the Motorola HDT500 wireless data device and accompanying Dynamic Mobile Data wireless dispatching software system. $70 million project (largest IT initiative in the 50+ year history of the company) promoted operational efficiency through the introduction of wireless data network technology to over 20,000 product users at 450 locations across the United States.

• Developed and implemented resource allocation model responsible for $2,721,000 in actual cost savings.

• Designed wireless network decision tool and managed allocation process resulting in first-year cost savings of $106,000 with continued additional sustained cost savings exceeding $172,800 annually.

• Managed redesign of accessory equipment and negotiated contracts resulting in future equipment cost savings of $135,000 annually.

Project Manager: 1998-1999

Developed, implemented, and managed operational improvement projects for the seven-state Region 4 (Midwest) area. Projects emphasized cost cutting, revenue enhancement, and quality of service improvement implementations. Designed and managed comprehensive six-month operational improvement project at the Lisle, IL cartage facility.

• Project resulted in 9.2% productivity improvement (improving shipments/cartage hour worked from pre-project level of 18.5 to post-project sustained level of 20.2)

• Enabled savings of $432,000 (exceeding goal of 6% operational cost reduction) while simultaneously facilitating first-year revenue increases of $339,040.

Operations Manager: 1996-1998

Managed both the 65 person outbound and 30 person inbound cartage operations at the downtown Chicago cartage facility. Conducted operations planning, process improvement, customer service, account management, and flight operations management.

• Facilitated outbound revenue increases of $312,000 annually through improvements to freight reweigh process.

United States Army – El Paso, TX/Fort Campbell, KY

Managed daily operations of an Air Defense Artillery platoon (101st Airborne Division) consisting of 8 Stinger/Avenger anti-aircraft missile systems, 19 personnel, 11 vehicles, and associated weaponry and equipment valued at $9.2 million. Responsible for the training and operational deployment of a unit designed to respond to any worldwide conflict in 18 hours or less. Served as Air Defense Liaison officer for the 3/502nd Infantry Battalion. Planned, coordinated, and managed all air defense operations for the integrated Air Assault unit consisting of over 550 personnel.
