Carbon nanotubes based microconcentration device for real time monitoring of Greenhouse Gases and volatile organics. The project includes the synthesis of Carbon nanotubes via chemical vapor deposition and their functionalization. Characterization of CNTs with Raman Spectroscopy, SEM,TGA, UV-visible, FT-IR. Development of nanotechnology based environmental monitoring devices.

CNTs immobilized membrane separation systems.

Doctoral Research Associate: (Dec 2005-Dec 2008)

National Center of Excellence for Environment and Hazardous Waste Management (NCE-EHWM), Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and NJIT (Advisers: Dr. Somenath Mitra and Dr. Chutarat Saridara)

Developed chemical vapor deposition system for carbon nanotubes self-assembly. Chromatographic applications of Carbon nanotubes for the analysis of volatile organic compounds and semi-volatile organic compounds using a microtrapping devices and functionalized Carbon nanotubes.

Worked on research projects funded by Asian Development Bank aimed at assessing hazardous pollutants in the rivers of Punjab. Prepared environmental assessment reports, and developed /maintained databases.
