OBJECTIVE:

I’m seeking a position as an Arabic Linguist or a foreign affair assistant for the Middle East in which I can expand upon my experiences and be an asset to an organization. Looking to obtain a position in which my knowledge, ability, and experience will be fully utilized. I am tri-lingual in English, Arabic, and French; proficient in all aspects of these languages including, reading, writing and speaking.

PROFILE:

I have a solid educational background, extensive experience, and a strong record of performance. I have worked with many different groups of the United States Army. My special areas of operation included working in interrogations, detainees operations and (KLE) key leader engagements with the Unites States Special Forces. I provided interpretations for countless classes taught to Iraqi Army Intelligence soldiers and helping to train the Iraqi Army on basic map reading, aerial reconnaissance, global positioning system devices and target recognition. My motivation and enduring attitude caused many missions to be successful during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. My background of military and cultural habits of the Middle East made interactions with the Iraqi Army high command and local populace very easy and informative. My knowledge of the culture has been a major factor that may have saved American as well as Iraqi lives. I was awarded many certificates of appreciations and letters of recommendation for my great work ethics and dedication. During many missions, I worked beyond normal hours, even on days off. Much of the work I did put me in danger on a daily basis. I have flown over 144 missions pertaining to Detainee Operations. The missions were conducted under extreme conditions and I participated in these missions.

G.L.S Linguist/ Analyst

(March 2009- August 2011) Camp Taji, Iraq.

United States Special Forces (ODA 0223, 0221, 0225) Job responsibilities include:

• Provided operational contract linguist support to U.S. Special Forces operations in various locations in Iraq.

• Provided general linguistic support for military operations and interpreted during interviews, meetings, and conferences.

• Interpreted and translated written and spoken communications.

• Transcribed and analyzed verbal communications.

• Performed document exploitation. Scanned, researched and analyzed foreign language documents for key information.

• Translated and reviewed foreign language documents. Identified and extracted information components meeting military information requirement list criteria. Provided input to reports.

• Helped train Iraqi Infantry.

• Performed missions and patrols.

• Held meetings with tribes’ Sheiks, Iraqi community leaders pertaining to gathering of intelligence about insurgency activity.

• Leading interpreter for combined targeting fusion meetings linking Iraqi human intelligence to American technical intelligence; this resulted in the capture of several high ranking terrorist cell leaders and weapon smugglers from Syria into Iraq.

• Assisted Interrogators during interrogations.

• Answered phone calls from Iraqi nationals with important information that helped save American Soldiers life and Iraqi Civilians.

Job responsibilities included:

• Managed total restaurant operations in areas of staff management, customer relations, vendor relations, budgets, inventory control, and purchasing of food, beverages and small wares.

CONCLUSION:
