Seeking an opportunity as pharmacy technician

A highly talented and Certified Pharmacy Technician with huge experience in preparing and packaging

medications for oral, parenteral and Intravenous administration for inpatient use and research protocols;

maintaining dispensing records for controlled substances and other medications, supplies & equipment.

Summary of Qualifications

 More than one and half years of experience as Pharmacy Technician.

 Good communication skills necessary to follow verbal and written instructions, including the ability to

understand technical and pharmaceutical terminology.

 In-depth mathematical skills necessary to accurately compute fractions, ratios, percentages and totals.

 Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to consistently interact with patients, families, visitors and staff in a

courteous manner; and to maintain positive working relationships.

 Strong knowledge of and skill in aseptic technique and physical dexterity to manipulate vials, ampoules,

needles, syringes, and other intravenous products.

 Great physical ability and stamina (to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to remain standing or walking for

prolonged periods of time) to perform the essential functions of the position.

 Strong knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel based operating systems, software applications.

Texas Oncology, Dallas, TX Jan ‘2008-present

 Worked for all departments of the pharmacy i.e. IV admixtures and outpatient.

 Preparing admixtures, chemo drugs, antibiotics, premeds and compounding medications.

 Entering the prescription orders on computer, filling and delivering it.

 Maintaining the track drug inventories on computer.

 Maintaining the record of drug interactions and prescriptions on computer

 Assisted in prepackaging as well as labeling of the medications.

 Communicate with administrative health personals for accuracy of the records.

Retail Experience

 Received prescription orders from telephone as well as in-person.

 Consulted with health professional for accuracy of the medications.
