Final project: Efficacy of control charts
• This project illustrates the case in two phases. Phase 1 covers the preparation and implementation of a control chart project to improve the process capacity (Cpk) of a CNC machine cell, which is an important part of a Lean-Six Sigma project. Phase 2 focuses on the analysis and comparison of different control charts with data collected in Phase 1.
• This case study shows an example of the advantages and benefits of adopting control charts and lean concepts simultaneously in a Lean-Six Sigma project. As a result, the process capability is improved and continuously monitored for problems and improvement opportunities.
