United States Air Force/Army National Guard March 1993 – July 2004

Heavy Equipment Operator/Military Policeman

Stationed at Travis AFB from March 1993 – March 1999. Attached to the 60th civil engineering squadron as a heavy equipment operator for the support of concrete, asphalt, and underground.

Assigned to the 870th Military Police Company in Pittsburg Ca. as a California Army National Guard member from July 2000 – July 2004. Was activated after 9/11 to backfill a unit at Ft. Lewis Wa.. Duties were to perform all Law Enforcement activities on a three month rotation that included rotations to Yakima Wa. Training Facility.

Managed risk assessment over five multi-family projects in Santa Clara County.

Managed two general contractors over five multi-family projects.

Assumed the owners rep role in all business and/or construction decisions associated with the five projects.

All projects came in under budget and on time to complete by Feb 2012

Standard Pacific Homes/Verrips Construction, Temp Position February 2010 – September 2010

Superintendent

Scheduling and supervision of subcontractors for all aspects of single family home construction.

Prepare punch lists, prep houses for inspections, homeowner orientations and delivery walks.

Ensure the timely completion of work to meet construction schedules, while maintaining the quality of the product.

Oversee the cleanliness, security and safety of the job site.

Ground-up plastic surgery clinic called California Skin in San Jose. Project was 14000 SF to include a full service O.R. suite and Dermatology Lab complete with full back-up utilities.

Completed two large OSHPD T.I’s for Northbay Medical Group. Responsible for estimating, purchasing, and management of up to a multi-million dollar scope of work.

Work directly with property owner on Change Orders and RFI’s. Manage budget, and schedule along with job superintendent to make sure funds are allocated properly, and project stays on time. Largest project was a 300,000 SF cork processing facility for the wine industry.
