TELECOMM CONSULTANT Dec. 2007- Present

City of Sacramento. Sacramento, CA - As the Project Manager for the City of Sacramento's 800 MHz Radio Re-banding Project, I was the primary source for documenting and maintaining project tracking and reporting. Other key responsibilities included coordinating radio installations, reprogramming, and testing of all subscriber units belonging to various departments throughout the city. Provided portable and mobile radio training for these departments. Ensured contract compliance, managed change orders, responded to correspondence from City departments and Vendors, and resolved conflicts.

Responsible for documenting the city’s fiber optic network using OSP Insight (Outside Plant Manager) modeling and documentation software. Assisted Telecommunications Engineer with the maintenance, design, and installation of fiber optic outside plant circuits. Played a major role in the upgrade of the City’s 911 system to Cisco Emergency Responder Assisted Department of Transportation with the implementation and deployment of an IP based Traffic Management System which is a major component of their Intelligent Transportation System.

FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER Sept. 2000-July 2005

Palomar Technologies Inc. Carlsbad CA. - Provided onsite support at Infineon Technologies Inc. for 25 Wire Bonders and Die Bonding Systems . Performed installation, setup, and calibration of complete Bonder Processing lines. Tested prototype package handling systems and components and provided design modifications and documentation for system improvements based on customer’s requirements. Developed installation and operating procedures and provided training for operators and maintenance personnel.

PRODUCT SUPPORT ENGINEER March 94 - Sept. 2000

Royce Instruments Inc. Napa, CA – Worked with design engineers and provided recommendations for system improvements on all company product lines which included multi-functional bond test systems, semi-automatic pick and place packaging systems, and die bonding systems. Tested, evaluated, and provided analytical data on new/existing products and software. Trouble-shoot and repaired system problems. Inspected finished products, performed system calibration, and system installations. Developed and compiled operating procedures and other documentation including test data, equipment modifications, system tracking, and system failures. Provided training and support for diverse set of worldwide customers.

PROCESS ENGINEER/ FIRST LEVEL MANAGER June 91 - March 94

General Mills Inc. (Specialty Development Group). Woodland, CA - Played an integral role on the start-up team for a new GM cereal processing system (Twin Screw Extrusion Process Technology) that greatly reduced processing times and minimized product loss.

• Worked in a self-directed team of process engineers that used teaming and problem-solving skills to resolve processing and packaging issues.

• Developed and compiled system start-up and shutdown procedures. Operated the various stations on the processing line.

• Collected and analyzed data (flow rates, operating temperatures and pressures, twin screw speeds, etc.) to determine optimum system and process parameters.

• Performed sensory and analytical testing to ensure a consistent and high quality product.

• Provided training for new operators and supervised process mixers and sanitation crews.

General Mills Inc. Lodi, CA - Managed a team of 16 people on three cereal processing systems.

• Coordinated start-up and shutdown of processing system and packaging lines.
