Global FM Technical Resource Manager / Sr. Metrology Manager 12/07 – 11/10

Promoted FM Metrology best practices and standards across Covance. This included providing input to the Global FM leadership, influencing, monitoring cross-site systems and services to ensure that all FM support services consistently met internal customer, client and regulatory requirements. I provided leadership to over six global FM metrology operations across Covance. Managed, tracked and qualified over 105 external service providers.

Metrology Services Assimilation Manager 09/02 – 12/07

Marketed metrology services to commercial customers and internal Honeywell labs not on the HTSI metrology network. Developed and presented assimilation proposals to the Vice President of commercial services and business development. Coordinate or perform assimilation preliminary pricing, employee transfers and other activities that resulted in my team capturing and transitioning 13 new metrology labs over to HTSI. I routinely met or exceeding my 1.2 million dollar annual new business sales targets.

Metrology Associate Director / Manager / Supervisor 03/98 – 09/02

Provided leadership and technical direction for a team made up of one manager, three lab supervisors and twenty-eight other metrology professionals. As a six sigma black belt I also engaged my teams in process and productivity improvement projects utilized statistical methods to establish and report key metrology metrics. My teams identified cost avoidance projects that saved $150,000 and provided Genzyme with its first 21 CFR part 11 compliant computer tracking system. My fiscal responsibilities included developing annual budgets, evaluating and recommending capital expenditures. I routinely monitored the cost and performance of over fifty external suppliers. Regulatory responsibilities included ensuring that there were no significant regulatory observations during FDA, MCA, and ISO surveillance visits I was able to conduct my first six sigma black belt project in our corporate I.T department that resulted in a cost saving of $510,000 utilizing cross functional teams six sigma tools.

Designed and implemented equipment solutions for process related problems in diffusion, SOI and etch, performed equipment modifications, and quality checks in support of all flat panel manufacturing.
