SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Created Budget System for Start-up Plant. A new automotive manufacturing plant was breaking ground in which the financial reporting and budgeting system did not exist. Benchmarked other Toyota Manufacturing Plant locations and developed plant $2 B budget policy and process. Work with General Managers of Administration, Manufacturing and Quality Control to support reporting and analysis of variances.

Standard Costing. Calculated, analyzed and reported standard variable cost for over 600 lamps for General Electric’s Lighting plant. Managed, updated and reported BOM for each sku. Liquidated $27,000,000 in labor cost and $22,000,000 in material cost.

Financial Analysis and Reporting. Company owned McDonald’s stores need Financial Analyst in the market to support store managers. Made journal entries, closed books, and prepared profit and loss statements for 30 company owned restaurants. Reported balance sheet, P & L’s and budget vs. actual variances to Regional Management.

Reduced cost of goods sold. Alcoa’s supply chain was not working efficiently and costs were too high. Evaluated procurement process, plant usage/waste, price, service, delivery and supplier’s internal controls structure. Implemented Kanban and restructured system, cutting total supply costs $425K in year one and $844K in year two.
