Profile:
I am currently employed with MTD (Modern Tool & Die), working at the Industrial Plastics plant, as a Quality Control Technician. I have been in this position for over four and a half years. Prior to this position I worked with MTD as a General Laborer for two years.
I have obtained a Certificate in CNC Machining and a Certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. I have a very good understanding of Microsoft Office which I use regularly in my current role as Quality Control Technician. I have gained much experience in using precision hand tools such as micrometers, callipers, height gages, taper gages and gage pins and blocks. I perform individual and assembled parts inspection, first and last piece inspections and finished goods audits.
A portion of my job is doing receiving inspection. This involves component inspection for assembly jobs, material certification inspection and out-sourced goods inspection.
It is my responsibility to train other inspectors according to the instructions found in our inspection controlled documents file in order to meet ISO 9001 standards.
I have obtained training for tow-motor driving and am licensed at MTD Industrial Plastics.
I have much experience working as part of both a small and a large team and am able to adapt my communication techniques to suit each different environment. I am a co-operative person who enjoys working with a team to produce products of the highest quality.
