SMC is a multinational company that specializes in the manufacture of crushing equipment, screens and conveyors for the mine and quarry.

Description of achievements

First stage, my initial term of a period of six months was to install a rubber processing plant from an empty room with a span of 5,000 square feet. Having completed the settlement sketch, I selected suppliers for the purchase of all machinery and equipment and coordinating the various trades required to install equipment.

The application of safety standards for the entire building was also under my responsibility.

A second phase was the startup of the workshop with the development of all the methods for the full range of products to be manufactured in this workshop.

A third phase was the daily management of the workshop, supervision and training of employees, implementation of all engineering plans for manufactured products, quality control, and the purchase of all raw materials.

Achievements in Sales / Technical Representative: As I realized most of the drawings of product that I created, I also gave support to the sales force, both at design and in technical research. In the absence of salesman available, I had to negotiate directly with a number of new customers, with unexpected success. I attribute this success to my ability to transform the expression of customer’s desires, in precise technical language within formal quote, and explanatory drawings that I had the ability to draw. These detailed quotes appeared to be particularly appreciated by the engineers with whom I was discussing. Technical solutions that I found for my clients were so accurate that I've never had to lower a price to obtain a contract.

GES is an engineering firm that specializes in maintenance management computer software (CMMS)

Description of achievements

My initial mandate was the implementation and updating of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for a sawmill that had undergone a dramatic increase in production capacity. Using the MAINT software, developed by GES technology, I reviewed the preventive maintenance tasks on all machines in the factory so that the issue of work orders could be done in an automated manner by the software.

Technical writing of maintenance tasks was also part of my responsibility.

I also had the mandate on several occasions to provide training on software MAINT. These courses lasting three days each were given in class to groups of end users.

May 2004 to May 2005, Advanced Hydraulics, Laval (ADH)

Title: MECHANIC Hydraulic

ADH specializes exclusively in the refurbishment of hydraulic pistons pumps and motors for excavators.

Description of achievements

Hydraulic pumps were delivered to me from all over North America, and I had the task of dismantling them up to the smallest pieces, cleaned them extensively through several washing processes. Once removed, I checked the tolerances and I was writing repair form that included a full parts list and the range of machining required. When the client had agreed and all required documents were present, I reassembled the hydraulic units according to the highest standards of pumps manufacturers.
