WORK EXPERINCE

GEOSERVICES (A Schlumberger Company ) :

POSITION: Mud logger: January 2009 – July 2010.

Worked with Geoservices Clients, i.e. Reliance, Cairn Energy India Ltd., and ONGC, who are currently carrying out Oil and Gas exploration at KG basin, Cauvery basin and Kerala-Konkan basin.

• Collection of samples and monitoring shakers for increase in sample cutting, caving or mud losses. Keeping a check on the degassers and troubleshooting it whenever required.

• Providing geological data, obtained by physical examination of drilled cuttings.

• Determining percentage of calcite and dolomite in rock cuttings by calcimetry.

• Monitoring the well at all times.

o Includes keeping a watch on mud loss or mud gain. Drilling break, change in ROP, variations in torque, stand pipe pressure and more.

• Reporting client regarding total gas percentage at the time during drilling (background gas, trip gas, formation gas).

Most of the projects worked were ultra deep water, also have experience on land rigs, the above company were mainly exploring for gas.

Undergone HUET, H2S and Breathing Apparatus training.

PROJECTS

Dissertation (Shale Gas Potential in Northern England.)

Main aims included

• Understanding the burial history, thermal history, using BasinMod Lite.

• Understanding the timing and petroleum generation, expulsion and maturation of source rock using BasinMod Lite and

• To evaluate the gas expelled in the study area.

Geological Mapping of Ingaladhalu and Kanchiganhal of Chitradurga Schist Belt. (GSITI - Chitradurga- July2007).

• Carried out geological mapping of Ingaladhalu and Kanchiganhal block of Chitradurga Schist Belt.

• Created a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of Ingaladhalu and Kanchiganhal block using SURFER 8.

• Carried out petrographic studies (Ore and Thin sections).

Analysis of Ground Water Flow, Quality and Use (Utorda Village, Salcete Taluka-Goa)

• Studied the nature of the soil its permeability.

• Studied the water use pattern and thereby determined the water generated by the population.

• Analysed well-water for salinity {through its electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), nitrate content and bacterial contamination}.
