• On-site Project Manager for the Hotel Portion of the Viceroy Resort, Barnes Bay, Anguilla, British West Indies - The project is a $150 million, 5-star luxury resort comprised of a 112-Room Hotel Complex with Conference, Spa, Restaurant, Retail, Administrative and Back-of-House facilities; 35 Villa Residences; 6 Town Homes; 41 Condominiums; Remote Central Energy Plant and Back-of-House facilities, Beach Bars and Tennis Courts. This was a four month contract position that was extended to five months.

• On-site Architect for the Molasses Reef Ritz Reserve Resort, Turks and Caicos Islands, British West Indies - The project was a $300 million, 125 Room, 5-Star Resort Hotel/Resort planned to be the first Ritz Carlton Reserve. Project includes: Main Lodge/Reception Building, Beach Restaurant, Spa, Pools, Roads, Landscape, Infrastructure, RO Water Plant, Power Generation Plant, Waste Water Treatment Plant, LP Gas Tank Farm and other services as required supporting a hotel being developed on a previously undeveloped island. Phase 1 includes 30 Luxury Condominiums and Phase 2 includes 36 Luxury Condominiums. The client required the on-site Site Architect position to be added, during the construction phase, when the management of the project was transferred from the San Francisco office to the Miami office. The Site architect position was specifically tasked with providing timely answers to questions generated in the field due to communication and language related issues between the contract documents and the Israeli Contractor and international subcontractors (Romanian and Russian Plumbers, Dominican and Colombian Pool Contractors, local subcontractors from the TCI, and Haitian and Chinese laborers). The project was stopped by the collapse of the construction lender, Lehman Brothers.

Stanford St Croix Main Lobby • On-site Project Manager for the Stanford St. Croix Aviation & Office Complex, Estate Betty’s Hope, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands - The project was a $100 million, Aviation Complex including 105,000 SF Office/Conference Space and 45,000 SF Hangar located at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport. The contract was defined to provide bridging services from project inception until the Owner could staff an in-house project management department to take over the project. Bridging services included management of the local architect through design, coordination with the US consultants, coordination of the LEED certification process, coordination with the Airport Authority, completion of local permitting and bidding, completion of the archeological surveys including permission to survey and remove existing structures and award & start of work for early bid packages (security fencing upgrades and repairs, extensions of existing utilities, site clearing and grading and site offices). The project was stopped by the Owner.

• Project Manager for the Bill & Cynthia Mitchell Basic Science Basic Research Building (BSRB1), MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas - $500 Million new laboratory facility located in a land-locked urban building site to house new Wet Labs, Small Animal Vivarium, Classrooms and administrative offices for the Graduate School of Biological Sciences, and a 750 seat theater.
• Program Manager for the Renovation of Hospital-wide Trash Collection System, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas - Removal and replacement of the existing trash collection and compactor system as required to repair several “Type 1 violations” identified by JCAHO.
• Program Manager for the Cancer Center of Excellence at Grady Hospital, (for the State of Georgia) Atlanta, Georgia - $34 Million Renovation of the 8th, 9th & 10th floors of a working 1,100 bed Urban Hospital for a new cancer center including a beta model PET/CT Scanner, CT Scanners, Treatment rooms, Wet Labs, Administrative offices, and Computer labs to support Biometrics Research.
• On-site Construction Manager for Year 2005 Villa Growth Projects, Four Seasons Resort, Nevis, BWI. A $5 Million project including renovation of an existing restaurant, a beach restoration project, and a new pool and pool building in an active 5-star resort.
• Private residence Maiden Island (Identified the lead and secured the Contract for Program Management Services) - 85,000 SF private residence located on Maiden Island, Antigua, British West Indies, including extension of utilities from the Main Island, marina/departure point at Barnacle Point.
• On-site Program Manager for La Querencia Golf Course and Resort, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, México - Phase 2 (Infrastructure, roads, building lots & a 28 mile long pipeline and off-site dam) to support a new 18-hole Golf course Luxury Resort development with a Tom Fazio designed course.
• Expert witness and provided Litigation Support on projects addressing structural failure, wrongful death, fire mitigation, construction litigation and change order resolution. Project types included schools, Colleges and Universities, Apartments and Condominiums, and Resorts in the US and the Caribbean.

Consulted on all legal and technical matters relating to procurement and execution of architectural, engineering, and construction contracts.
• Directed the DHR emergency response, as the Alternate Emergency Coordinator, to hurricanes, floods, potential bio-terrorism attacks, Y2K, or other disasters that required activation of the Georgia Emergency Management Authority (GEMA) Command Center.
• Performed trouble-shooting and problem resolutions for technically specialized problems including impending structural collapse, roof leaks, landfill and environmental issues and recommends corrective actions that are beyond local authority. Supervised abatement projects for hazardous materials in departmental facilities.
• Approved project designs for compliance with programmatic needs and ensures compliance with state and federal construction requirements. Approved plans and specifications for soundness of technical specifications. Directed pre-bid and pre-construction conferences. Reviews and approves change orders during construction.

• As a member of the Executive Council (policy making board) participated in the formation of long-term strategic plans for the hospital complex of 960 acres and 600,000 square feet.

• Administered and tracked Capital Outlay projects, Institutional Repair and Maintenance Revolving Fund, and General Obligation Bond funds.
