Description of the project
MetLife is the largest leader in savings and retirement products and services for individuals, small business, and large institutions.
The Project involved in processing Variable Anuuities and Variable Life files from partner firms of MetLife. This involved data modeling, schema design, writing packages in Oracle 10g and UNIX shell scripts.
Responsibility
- Support partner firms regarding electronic transfer of Asset Pricing, Positions and Values, Financial Activity Reporting through the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC).
- Communicating with broker dealer back office to setup new electronic data sent via NSCC or proprietary feed to MetLiIfe.
- MetLife database for tracking Broker Dealer was in Oracle 10g hosted on Unix.
- Testing and implementation of all NSCC trading partners.

The Project is specifically for the design and modeling of Data Warehouse modules for iTunes Music Store Data Integration to their Global Sales DW. This included understanding of their Sales Order Life Cycle and working of the Apple iTunes Music Store. Also used XML and XSLT to send XML data to Europe Artist society for Royalties.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding Business Requirements for doing an Impact Analysis on the Apple Global Sales DW for all enhancement requests.
- Module Lead with 6 members.
