Major Accomplishments:

Toys ‘R’ Us – Solely coded their year end inventory system which processed the entire inventory for every store in the world. Consisted of 27 batch and 6 on-line programs. Accomplished in 2 months.

BCBS of NJ – Was responsible for maintaining the integrity of their group membership VSAM database. Consisted of millions of records. Kept major clients databases in sync with BCBS’s by creating audit system which analyzed and updated the BCBS group membership database. Also, created the programs to change the key field using restart logic.

Metromont – Was responsible for installing, testing and debugging their new BMH software for their new Payroll and Human Resource system. Was also responsible for integrating the two systems.

Metlife – Coded all the SQL utility programs which updated there new Ingenium DB2 tables for Term Life Dept. I was also responsible for creating and running audit system which kept their Legacy and new Ingenium DB2 database for Long Term Care in sync for 2 ½ years; until their new Ingenium system had been completed and the Legacy system phased out. Worked extensively with SQL and creating efficient cursors.

Responsible for all JCL and program modifications for batch year-end run. All programs are COBOLII and read and update VSAM files. All programs call each other and pass info via Linkage Sections.

Responsible for creating and modifying new and existing batch Ingenium DB2 programs and JCL for Voluntary Dental. Responsible for all phases from creating Tech. specs to coding programs and JCL, testing, documenting and implementation of batch jobs.

Responsible for coordinating testing and verifying results of shared jobs between Critical Illness Group and Voluntary Dental Group.

Responsible for setting up new distribution groups in Lotus Notes to receive new and existing reports.

Mainframe Programmer

Responsible for coding DBII conversion programs. These programs created files from the old Legacy system and loaded them to the new Ingenium databases. Coded the production audit systems which would scan the Legacy and Ingenium databases and pull off all new data on each and update it's counterpart. This kept the two databases in sync which was required because the old Legacy system had to be maintained until all releases of the LTC Ingenium install could be completed.

Worked writing SQL for data corrections and coded program enhancements for claims.

Developed reporting programs.

Responsible for all JCL, Pics, Installs etc.

Responsible for all phases of designing, coding, testing and implementing of new Ingenium based applications.

Created HTML pages, P-steps, Flows, Screens and batch and on-line DB2 programs. Worked extensively with Changeman packages, TSO, ISPF and Ingenium based software. Worked for the Term Life group and coded, tested and implemented all of the Business Rules associated with Term Life. Have coded over 300 new production programs and 600 new production copybooks for Met thru the end of this contract period. Was responsible for all JCL associated with all production programs that were created. Some of the tools worked with are Excel, Lotus Notes, Powerpoint and Frontpage.

Responsible for the coding, testing and implementing of all COBOLII DB2 batch and online utility programs used in Metlife's new ATLAS Ingenium system for Group life. Responsible for coding all programs which retrieve data from Metlife's Plan Master DB2 database.

Responsible for coding all Data Bridge DB2 programs that took the data from Met's Long Term Care Legacy database and created flat files that were loaded to the new Ingenium TLC databases. Responsible for keeping the data in both systems in Sync until the new system was completely operational and the old system could be shut down. Was primary on-call for production support 3 times a year for a week and secondary 3 times a year for a week.

Responsible for all phases (specs, coding, testing and implementation) of Metlife's new batch mass salary update system which interfaces with the new Ingenium insurance system database and Metlife's Plan Master database.

All programs were written for batch and online systems. COBOLII, DB2, JCL, Changeman, Xpediter, Lotus Notes, Excel and Microsoft Word are heavily used.

KVI Life To Date Portable Charge Master Files.

Coding the new programs to process the monthly MET and KVI Portable Charge Detail files by matching against these master files and creating a METFACS Interface file of any NET changes and a report of all dropped records or records in error.

Creating the MET JCL to run under GURU and making any changes to it in order to spawn off this job. Creating the KVI JCL to run on Request. Also, responsible for all phases of testing and learning CHANGEMAN used in implementing all procs, programs, link decks, copy files etc. needed for each job.

Using LOTUS notes to keep all analysts involved in this project updated on the current status and progress of this project.
