BE - Project

Title: Button operated electromagnetic gear shifting system

Semester: Eight

Description: It’s a Magneto button operated gear system in which we operate button by hand.

Like one forward gear shift button and other one is rear gear button shift button. It is specially meant for physically handicap people where they can use by hand easily. One generator is fixed to the vehicle where it stores energy while vehicle in moving stage after fuel empty by the using of generator we can move the vehicle by one to one and half km. This is application is very useful for handicap people. Both gears are operated by solenoid magnet system. These magnets are charged by battery while vehicle is in running stage. The speed of the vehicle is limited and magnets are very powerful. Because of powerful magnet the gear actuation is very powerful and easy of shift. Totally it is a innovative type of project. The project is very simply and primary cost is also less. The gears are shift by without clutch because one hand is on accelerator and other one is on gear shifting button.

Accomplishments

Accomplished one month training in K.S.R.T.C Divisional Workshop, which is located in Gokul Road, HUBLI. In this training we went through the Engine overhauling, clutch, gearbox, differential box, compressor & air turbines overhauling. Experts also trained about the working of Machines like Lathe, Drilling, Sheet metal cutting, Milling etc.
