Operations & Maintenance

 Planning & implementing the preventive, planned, predictive maintenance & breakdown maintenance schedules for improving overall reliability and safety.

 Increase in Yield Percentage from 96 % to 97.8 % with Mukand Ltd

 Bar mill mechanical breakdown time reduced from 10.5 % (year 1989) to 0.23 % ( year 2001 ) with Mukand Ltd

 Increase in Service Business by 55 % for the year 2002 & 2003 with Kone Elevator India Pvt Ltd

 Met the service budget target in the year 2003 (100 %) with Kone Elevator India Pvt Ltd .

 EAF – Roof elbow changing time has been reduced from previous 12 hrs to 1.0 hrs by developing fixture for the mounting measurements to be used during the fabrication with Cakratunggal Steel Mills

 EAF Roof delta changing time reduced from 8 hrs to 1 hrs by modifying the feeding pipe to EAF & lifting tackle for roof delta with Cakratunggal Steel mills

 Developments of Guide bearing for EAF RAM (diameter 660 mm) to avoid bush damages & roof lifting cylinder seal failures (when bush is worn-out) with Cakratunggal steel mills

 Relocation of Laddle on Turret to avoid the damages to Mould jacket & mould level controller when there is puncture in the tundish at liquid metal impact point, with Cakratunggal Steel mills.
